Dreamzzz, Desires n Desperation...: Memories of 2005..

Memories of 2005..

Life is full of mixed surprises.. and this year (2005) was no exception. I started with the resolution of waking up early, attending to all lectures and scoring atleast 75% in the end semester exams, and making thousand more resolutions (on the personal front). I also vowed to shape up my preparations for CAT. (All i can say about CAT is that " in the end it doesn't even matter".)

Longowalian Winter.
The winter at Longowal can be devastating. We don't have snowfalls here but the cold wind sweeping the campus in the night, can beat the chill out of you. (So you see getting a proper bath once a week was also among the resolutions). Sometimes you can't see the Sun for more than a week (I must sympathize with the polar beers). Mornings are sleepy, afternoons are dull and nights are boring. Don't you think that these are reasons enough to get up late, skip the early lectures and getting a DEOdrant bath. Well some of the spirits were still there, but slowly and surely they also melted away with the gradual arrival of summer. The transition from winter to summer is absolutely beautiful. The blue/pink/red flowers bloom, Birds start whispering their morning tunes and and and ..(many of you would agree that it's the time for sleeveless again however it's a rarity here..)

So friends..Feb. month was the most beautiful of all time. Don't confuse it with the valentine's day success. I donot consider myself anywhere close to a girl's dream... But anyways I can remember the Feb. month for a special kind of windfall. Windfall money. I made my first bucks out of nothing. And the happiest thing was that it was not just a flicker of light but the whole lantern, which kept shining till June. And i earned around 50 thousand bucks.. All for nothing. That's the power of autosurfing...

Holi Hai!!!!
March was memorable for the "Muddy Holi". This was one of the memorable holi we ever had in the years. Back home in our society it has been reduced to a festival of old and middle aged peoples where they fix a time and meet at a common place to splash colors on each other and with the cautious warnings "thoda aaram se sharma ji" "tiles pe girega" "na na deewal pe nahi". Well at the hostel its a kind of respite from Uncleji's holi. It's the same old and wild holi we use to had when we were adolscents. A lot of mud mixed with artificial colors (that includes cowdung, red, blue, green ink, chilli/haldi powder and a lot of other unknown ingredients). For the memories i have two soiled shirts.

Then came April and we never really knew how it went past. May was the month for examinations and only an engineer in the making can tell you how the hell it's important to study a night before the examinations. Well i dont even want to revive those memories (man the problem is that the way we study ..we can only remember it for days and not months).. the only thing i remember was that it was one long boring month..

Five months in one day.. before it gets more boring i should stop.. Man i almost forgot i have to make a few important calls... (I hope you understand...) Thanx...
