BCCI in habit of burning their fingers..

A habit of sort - It has almost become an habit. First they reject a candidate who is desperate to take up the job. Well, he is desperate but his coaching credentials speak of his potential (Dav Whatmore) and perhaps the best in the world. Then they shortlist a candidate who has no credentials at all and perhaps not even known to half of the players of team India. They have never heard of him (John Emburey). And they do all this drama to pick a candidate who promises them the world and delivers nothing.

Doing away with responsibility - Graham Ford, plainly rejected the offer because he knew that though he is being offered the best pay package in the industry but not the freedom which any world class coach would have wanted to. He had to manage with the present support staff and with the kind of egos he has to deal with will make the task even more difficult. On the top of this, giving him only one year makes it sure that board is not entrusting him with the responsibility rather just doing away with theirs. Dav Whatmore was literally shouting that "I want the job, give me this job" but BCCI chose to ignore all this to receive public bashing in the end.

The endorsement issue - Coaching post is not the only thing. The endorsement contract was another issue where they will again burn their fingers. They announced that not more than 3 products can be endorsed by a player but then they make relaxation to seniors who have more than 3 and then one fine day they are telling that they need to look into the matter. It's clearly an eye wash gesture because of the early exit of the team from world cups. And then now when its time to glorify victory against Bangladesh they can set the records straight. Well, they are forgetting this thing that at foreign pitches even Bangladesh can beat them. Bangladeshis are happy that when it really mattered we beat them, what happened now was just another series.

Anyways, let's tell these people sitting in the board office that there is something called shame and there is something called public humiliation. I think that they are unaware of these feelings. Shameless fellows.
