BCCI really upto some mystery ..

The two possible candidates for Indian team Head Coach's position have one strange thing common (apart from playing cricket and coaching teams). Well, they both have been fired from their coaching jobs at-least once.
  1. Graham Ford - It was he who was the coach when HansieGate happened and he was fired with Hansie Cronje. Later Cronje admitted the crime and it's believed that Ford paid the price for being the coach. But anyways, he was the coach and somehow he failed in his responsibility.
  2. John Emburey - Well, the second man has impressive credentials of being fired for more than one time. First, he was fired from Northamptonshire, then he returned to Middlesex. Again he went to Northamptonshire and again got fired with one year of contract to run. Well, he was appointed as Middlesex's coach, taking over from old team-mate Mike Gatting. In six years he struggled to motivate a side in transition, bringing in some distinctly average players as well, and at the end of 2006 the county were relegated from the top flight in both the Championship and National League.
So we see, one coach was involved with the match fixing issue and the other even brought a side close to relegation. Well, dont know if they can churn out some magic for India or not but are John Emburey or Graham ford suitable fit for coaching a side with likes of Sachin and Rahul or for that matter Kumble? Why BCCI didnot consider people like Sandeep Patil, Amarnath or Viv Richards? Anways, no point in debating beause future hold the answers.
